Bike theft - Dringfield close

🚲 Theft of Child's Bicycle 🚲

We are appealing for information following the theft of a child's bicycle from a shed on Dringfield Close.

Between 23:30hrs on 14/07/2026 and 01:00hrs on 15/07/2026, an offender entered a shed and stole a red and white Specialized child's bike.

Bike Security Advice

With the warmer weather seeing more people out cycling, now is a good time to review your bike security:

✅ Always lock your bike with a quality Sold Secure rated lock, even when stored in sheds or garages.
✅ Secure bikes to a fixed anchor point where possible.
✅ Keep sheds, garages and side gates locked and consider fitting alarms or security lighting.
✅ Remove accessories and valuables when leaving bikes unattended.
✅ Take clear photographs of your bike and record the frame number.

Register Your Bike

Registering your bike on a recognised bike registration database can help police identify and return recovered stolen bikes to their owners. It also acts as a deterrent to thieves and can assist with proving ownership if your bike is stolen.
